McCall's
McCall's Country Canning candles were originally marketed in old-fashioned
paint cans with a handle. Feedback from retailers resulted in the current
jar candles, but these jars are unlike any other you'll find on the market.
The unique canning jars are topped with a rustic metal lid stamped with the
company logo. A metal handle encircles the neck of each jar, and the painting on
each label complements the scent.
McCall's candle wicks are cored with zinc, not lead. The candles are designed
to provide delicious scents from the first lighting until the candle has been

The A. I. Root Company began in 1869 as a manufacturer of quality, innovative
beehives. In the early years, the company was known for quality honey and
beeswax. The focus began to change to candlemaking in 1928 when a local priest
approached the company looking for a higher quality candle for use in religious
services.
The fifth generation of the Root family continues to carry on the traditions of
honesty and quality that have made the company a success throughout its history.
